Through regular meditation, the mind becomes clear and the motives pure. The subconscious mind releases hidden knowledge that allows a better understanding of oneself and our relationship to the world. The limited personality slowly dissolves into an expanded consciousness. Ultimately, the superconscious or intuitive forces are released, leading to a life of wisdom and peace.

Meditation is the art of slowing down and focusing the mind. Meditation gives
relief and much more. Scientific studies show that regular meditation stimulates
relaxation, improves emotional wellbeing, strengthens the immune system and
reduces stress.
This course provides a thorough overview of the philosophy and practice of
meditation, visualisation, techniques for mental relaxation & mantra chanting.
Each workshop includes various guided meditations and mantra chanting.

The course instructors are senior teachers of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres.

Swami Kailasananda is Yoga Acharya of the Sivananda Ashram and Centres in France and England. Long time disciple of Swami Vishnudevananda, she teaches in the Sivananda Teachers’ Training Courses and the Sadhana Intensive for many years. She is the author of The Sivananda Book of Meditation.
The course is based on the books Meditation and Mantras by Swami Vishnudevananda and the Sivananda Book of Meditation.

The Sivananda Centre in London is a spiritual oasis amid the pressures of city life. Situated in a quiet residential area, the centre’s welcoming reception area, spacious studios and beautiful peace garden provide an ideal setting for practising yoga, meditation and relaxation.
You are welcome to stay in the centre for the length of the course. Accommodation is in shared, double or single room.
