Kirtan
Home - Yoga Retreats - Weekend – London - Mantra and Kirtan Weekend
When: 14 – 16 August 2026
Where: Sivananda Yoga Centre London (Putney)
Kirtan is the meditative and devotional chanting of Sanskrit mantras. It is based on simple melodies which are derived from the classical Indian music form of ragas. Kirtan is an active form of meditation which calms the thinking mind, opens the heart, soothes the nerves, and leads the mind into inner silence.
Kirtan is a communal practice based on a simple call and response style that is easy to follow and does not require prior experience. We look forward to welcoming you.
