Hatha Yoga Inspirations 2026

Practice and study in a weekly live online workshop for intermediate to advanced practitioners

With Swami Sivadasananda

These practical asana and pranayama sessions present fascinating body-mind-soul perspectives of Hatha Yoga.

Each evening focuses on one aspect from either physiology, psychology or philosophy of yoga in theory and practice.

A session typically consists of

  • 70 min – a concise sequence of pranayama, asanas and relaxation
  • 15 min – presentation of study material, questions and answers
  • 5 min – an exercise in awareness, concentration and meditation

In English with simultaneous translation into German, French and Spanish.

Relaxed and Positive

Tues., 4 August – Tue., 8 September 2026

Each session covers a comprehensive sequence of pranayama and asanas. The focus is on a specific approach to deeper relaxation.

After final relaxation we practice affirmations of an uplifting human value: a scriptural quote, words of the Masters and a story.

Tuesday, 4 August 2026, 7–8:30 pm

  • Practice yoga daily: improves sleep, lowers stress, supports healthy circadian rhythms.
  • Avoid late-night eating: supports overnight recovery, metabolism, and restful sleep.

Monday, 10 August 2026, 5–6:30 pm

  • Stretch the stress away. Conscious stretching unblocks vital energy and expands the mind.
  • Affirmations on friendliness

Tuesday, 18 August 2026, 7–8:30 pm

  • Contract and relax. The yogic way of physical workout helps the mind to unwind.
  • Affirmations on non-violence

Tuesday, 25 August 2026, 5–6:30 pm

  • Moving against gravity and then flowing towards it. This focus on the “here” grounds the mind.
  • Affirmations on compassion

Tuesday, 1 September 2026, 5–6:30 pm

  • Expanding the breath into a free flow. Conscious breathing centres the mind in the “now”.
  • Affirmations on courage

  • Detach and relax. Observing the body as it moves through soothing asana cycles.

The body functions best when it moves regularly and through a wide range of motion. The practice of sun salute and asanas offers a simple and effective way to keep the body mobile, resilient, and healthy.

Each session will guide you to move with ease through known and less known asana cycles.

Swami Sivadasananda

Swami Sivadasananda, Yoga Acharya and senior disciple of Swami Vishnudevananda, has taught at workshops and Yoga Teachers’ Training Courses around the world for many years. He is a dynamic, precise and knowledgeable instructor. He is the author of Sivananda Beginner’s Guide to Yoga and Yoga – Your Home Practice Companion.
