Spiritual Festival:Navaratri and Vijaya Dasami
21-30 September, 2017
Free and open to all!
During nine festive days, the Divine Mother is worshipped in the form of Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The festival ends on the tenth day, which is the day of victory, Vijaya Dashami, when good triumphs over evil.
“Worship of Devi or the Universal Mother gives not only prosperity, but liberation from all bondages. It leads to the attainment of the Self. She will remove all obstacles in the path and lead you safely to the illimitable domain of eternal bliss and make you absolutely free.” – Swami Sivananda
The daily Navaratri celebrations will be celebrated with a puja, a devotional ritual that conveys the deep essence of spirituality. Devotional rituals elevate the mind, soothe the nervous system and generate harmony. The chants bring much joy and have a very positive effect on physical and mental wellbeing.
The celebrations are free of charge. Donations are most welcome. Flowers and fruits are auspicious offerings when attending the Navaratri pujas.
