Ramachandra

Undertaking the TTC at the Sivananda Yoga Centre in Putney was one of the best decisions I have made. The experience was profoundly transformative, equipping me not only to become a well-rounded yoga teacher, but also with the wisdom to better understand and navigate the challenges of life. The teachings are rooted in authentic tradition and remain deeply relevant to the human condition, offering a depth and richness that goes far beyond the mainly physical focus of some modern gym-based yoga studios.

Sharada Devi

Studying on the TTC course was probably one of the best decisions I have made. I was nervous and excited all at the same time. I was older than the other students and wondered whether I would be able to cope with the pace of the course. I need not have worried as the course was well thought out, planned and executed. It allowed us to not only be enthusiastic participants of yoga but be able to pass on the knowledge gained/learnt to others after completing the course.

In 2013 I attended the four-week residential. For me, this was a truly inspirational and life-changing experience.
The course provided a well-designed structure which encompassed both traditional and classical yoga teaching methodologies, and their practical application in the class environment. Included were early morning Meditations, Asana Practice, Philosophical lectures, Karma Yoga and Evening Meditations. The teachers were extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and authentic.

An excellent opportunity to get to know the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre as a training institute for anyone considering taking a Yoga Teachers’ Training Course.

Step into a condensed version of a typical TTC day. The two asana and pranayama classes give you a feel of the classical style of yoga. The lectures introduce you to the philosophy behind the practice while the presentation about curriculum, locations, and certification present the more practical side of the course. The evening meditation with mantra chanting lets you experience the devotional path of yoga and is another key indicator of what the full course is like. There will be time for Q&As and course teachers will be available for individual advice and guidance throughout the day.
