Rest & Relax
Home - Yoga Retreats - Weekend – London - Yoga, Rest and Relaxation
When: 13 – 15 February 2026
Where: Sivananda Yoga Centre London (Putney)
Join us for a relaxing weekend in the oasis of peace of the Sivananda Yoga Centre. Immerse yourself in rejuvenation through the practice of yoga and meditation.
Enjoy relaxing silent walks along the Thames, through the lush green spaces surrounding the centre and the magnificent commons. Delicious, wholesome vegetarian meals are served twice daily. The retreat is smoke- and alcohol free.
Relaxation is our natural state, it is our birthright. We experience a deeper state of relaxation when we are expending little or no energy. This is the natural way to relax body and mind.
Deep relaxation works on three levels – physical, mental and spiritual. Relaxation is not so much a state as a process, a series of increasing depth. It is a matter of letting go instead of holding on, of not doing rather than doing. When we master the art of proper relaxation, we possess the key to health, vitality and inner peace. Relaxation is a tonic for the whole being, liberating vast resources of energy.
