Ayurveda is a holistic science. It aims at preventing disease and improving health and wellbeing.

Ayurveda dates back more than 5,000 years ago and is believed to be the most ancient medical system in the world. It is a source of profound knowledge for improving and maintaining good health, curing disease and increasing longevity. By cultivating a balanced way of living in physical and mental harmony with nature, we can attend to the root cause of imbalances.

Ayurveda as a healing science gives much importance to proper nutrition. With an individualised approach to nutrition, we learn to eat what is right for our body type, digestion is facilitated, our constitution balanced and our overall health and well-being enhanced.

By understanding the effects of ingredients on the body, one can select the right recipe for optimal health. For example, warming spices like ginger benefit Vata types in colder months, while cooling herbs like mint aid Pitta individuals in warmer climates. Integrating practical home remedies enhances the therapeutic value of meals, ensuring balanced nutrition and vitality.

The course will give you the opportunity to deepen your understanding in three question-and-answer sessions with Drs Sreelal.

Course language is English with simultaneous translation to German, Spanish and French.

Recordings of each session will be available as YouTube links.

For this course a CPD certificate of participation will be available.

Sreelal Sankar was born in a traditional Ayurveda practitioner’s family in Kerala. His rich experience of many years of clinical practice and his analytical approach make him a fascinating and skilled teacher.

Poornima Sreelal is a leading Ayurvedic dietary consultant. She comes from a traditional healer’s family. After her graduation in Ayurveda, she specialized in Clinical nutrition and dietetics. She works on applied nutrition for curative purposes.

Both teachers have many years of experience in the field of nutrition in both Eastern and Western countries.
